American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) is currently the nation’s largest student pharmacist organization, with over 30,000 student members nationwide. The mission of APhA-ASP is “to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, to improve patient care, and to envision and advance the future of pharmacy.” Within APhA-ASP, we offer a wide variety of roles and opportunities, including: policy and advocacy, leadership, patient care and community service projects, international opportunities, professional development programs, career development programs, and last but certainly not least: meetings and networking. In order to take advantage of all the opportunities APhA-ASP has to offer, we need your help!
Our Chapter:
On campus at the University of South Carolina, APhA-ASP is open to Pre-Pharmacy students and PharmD Candidate students. Our patient care initiatives that take place both on campus and in the community include: Generation Rx, Operation Diabetes, Operation Heart, Operation Immunization, OTC Medication Safety, and Operation Women's Health. We also offer opportunities within the realm of pharmacy policy and advocacy, as well as international opportunities.
How You Can Help:
Our hope is that you're all in with us - we are asking for your gracious support to help members of our chapter travel to the 2019 APhA Annual Meeting this year! Help us further our learning and connect with others in the pharmacy profession in Seattle, Washington in March 2019.
